Overview of the Rice Diet

The Rice Diet Solution recently made the original rice diet popular again. The plan claims to be able to detox and cleanse your body and that you will not feel hungry. You will reduce the number of calories on this diet as well as the amount of sodium, fat, sugar, and protein in your diet.

The Rice Diet is pretty restrictive. You are allowed to eat fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains (starch), beans that are low in salt, and lean protein. There are 3 phases to the plan, and the first phase encourages eating only 800 calories per day. While following the plan, there is a gradual increase to 1,200 calories per day.
